Our AC unit quit working on 6/25/18 while we were on our honeymoon. We were able to call HWA when we got to port on 6/26/18 and approve my mother making a claim. She made the initial claim on 6/26/18. It is now 7/18/18 and we STILL DO NOT have our AC fixed. They continuously give us the runaround that the unit has been ordered, but cannot provide an order number. They will not allow us to speak to a manager, because managers are always busy on conference calls.

Since he was rude and unhelpful I asked to speak to a supervisor. He would not give me to one my issue was not big enough to get a supervisor. He finally transferred me to Robert who was helpful and got through to their contractor and promised me a call back. After seeing the reviews I'm pretty nervous anything will get fixed but willing to give it a try. You need more Robert's on your phone line and ditch the rude CSR not worth the negative feedback. The home warranty fills in valuable coverage where your homeowners insurance doesn't apply. To secure the best protection for your home and your budget, you need both homeowners insurance and a home warranty. A home warranty covers costly home repairs and replacements due to normal everyday use. It's not your homeowner's insurance policy; a home warranty is a separate contract covering repairs and replacements on systems in your home. Home warranties cover many, but not all, of your home's appliances and systems. Contract costs and coverage can vary widely, so always compare before purchasing.

Let's face it, home warranty is no different than any other insurance, period. If you recognize that you are paying for something that may never be needed going in, then when you have a loss, you recognize the benefit. The 50 70 per loss/claim is your deductible, which you have to pay on any coverage, cell phone, auto, homeowners, etc. Each and every claim is a new loss. With that said, I will say, I had a home warranty on my "home from hell" in California, and Thank God we had it. They paid for a new furnace, new water heater, new well pump, just to mention a few things.
